What Our DSWs Do:  Our DSWs are trained to deliver person-centered care that supports independence, dignity, and inclusion. Their responsibilities include:

• Personal Care Assistance: Helping individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.

• Medication Support: Assisting with medication reminders and safe administration, as per the individual’s care plan.

• Behavioral Support: Implementing behavior management strategies and providing emotional and psychological support.

• Community Integration: Supporting clients in participating in community activities, social programs, education, or employment opportunities.

• Life Skills Development: Teaching essential life skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and communication to promote independence.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate records and reporting on the progress and needs of individuals in care.
